Quite a few years ago I did a lot of traveling, particularly in Texas and Oklahoma, looking for a new stallion. I literally looked at hundreds of stallions and their offspring. Two of the stallions that intrigued me the most due to their disposition, versatility, conformation and flawless pedigrees were Playgun and Mr Sun O Lena. I feel fortunate to have found two young stallions with both of these great horses up close in their pedigree and also showing the same qualities that attracted me to Playgun and Mr Sun O Lena. Having cowboyed on several big outfits, I am always attracted to the big ranches and have made several visits to the 6666 Ranch at Guthrie, Texas who stand Mr Sun O Lena. I visited with several of the cowboys there and they tell me the Mr Sun O Lena offspring make great ranch horses because of their cow sense and easy going dispositions yet have the "fire" when needed. Playgun too has such a wonderful quiet disposition yet put him or his offspring in front of a cow and we all know they'll get the job done and then some.
