I feel broodmares are the backbone of a horse operation. About half my mares are home raised and go back to two half sisters (Wild Rose Velvet and Tivio San Rose) that were both as versatile ranch horses as I have ever ridden - and I have ridden a few! You could drag calves to the fire on them today and win a ranch cutting with them tomorrow. Tivi won the Top Cow Horse award one year at the Ranchers Rodeo in Pincher Creek and Rose won numerous awards in the ICHA circuit. They seem to be passing these qualities onto their offspring.
The other half of my mares come from the Frank Perkins Ranch at Tyler, Texas; the Four Sixes Ranch at Guthrie, Texas: and the Galt Ranch at White Sulpher Springs, Montana.
Most of the mares are around fifteen hands, have good bone, black feet, and throw color. Would be proud to show them to you.
